Next-Generation Transportation: Modeling, Control, and Optimization of Smart Vehicles and UAVs in Mobility Networks
Submission Abstract:
Accelerated development of intelligent mobility networks, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and intelligent vehicles is influencing the development of next-generation transportation systems. The technologies are altering the movement of people and goods to facilitate safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation systems. The combination of autonomous and connected vehicles with the systems of delivering goods through UAVs raises complicated problems in modeling, control, and optimization that demand new approaches. The special issue on Next-Generation Transportation: Modeling, Control, and Optimization of Smart Vehicles and UAVs in Mobility Networks is dedicated to the creation of novel computational and engineering tools to overcome these issues. It emphasizes how artificial intelligence, data analytics, and control theory can be used to improve traffic management, route optimization, energy efficiency, and system resilience. Since the urban setting is gaining more congestion and dynamism, the inter-connectivity between the ground and the air is important. The problem examines multi-agent systems, real-time decision-making models, and scalable optimization approaches to provide smooth mobility. Theoretical contributions towards focus on theoretical bases, as well as practical contributions to the area of intelligent transportation systems, are welcome to develop this field and the future of smart mobility.
