Submission Abstract:
The rapid development of advanced materials is transforming modern manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, biomedical, and energy industries. Recent advances in material processing, microstructural engineering, computational modeling, additive manufacturing, nanotechnology, surface engineering, and sustainable manufacturing have enabled the development of high-performance materials exhibiting superior mechanical, tribological, thermal, and functional properties. This thematic issue aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for publishing high-quality original research, review articles, and short communications focusing on the design, processing, characterization, modeling, optimization, and industrial applications of advanced materials. Contributions emphasizing sustainability, resource efficiency, Industry 4.0/5.0 integration, artificial intelligence in materials research, and emerging engineering applications are particularly encouraged. The issue seeks to bridge the gap between fundamental materials science and industrial implementation while promoting sustainable technological advancements.
