Gut Microbiota in Gastrointestinal and Non-gastrointestinal Diseases
Submission Abstract:
The complex interplay between gut microbiota and human health has become a focal point in medical research. For this reason, the aim of this special issue is to explore the multifaceted role of gut microbiota in both gastrointestinal and non-gastrointestinal diseases. Regarding the dynamic symbiosis between the microbial communities residing in the digestive tract and various physiological systems, new studies are needed to elucidate their impact on disease onset, progression, and potential therapeutic interventions. Insights into the intricate molecular mechanisms governing these interactions offer a promising avenue for targeted interventions, paving the way for personalized medicine and innovative treatment strategies. This comprehensive exploration underscores the pivotal role of gut microbiota in human health and in several disease spectrums.
