Frontiers in Dopants-Induced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
Submission Abstract:
Nanomaterials and nanostructures, with dopants for exceptional mechanical properties, luminescence intensities, medical effects, etc., possess great application prospects. The synthetic process, surface modification, performance optimization, and multi-functionalization of these nanomaterials and nanostructures, together with relevant science and technology strategies such as characterizations and simulations, have become an enduring focus topic, especially in medical, mechanics, and engineering research fields.
In this thematic issue, we intend to collect and introduce the fundamental basis and new advances of typical doped nanomaterials (oxides, fluorides, perovskites, etc.) and micro/nano-features (defects, interfaces, surfaces, biomimetic frameworks, etc.) in various morphologies (particles, sheets, tubes, holes, cracks, etc.). Their application potentials in biotherapies, bioimaging, drug delivery, sensing, analytical chemistry, architecture, mechanics, engineering, etc., will be highlighted. Pertinent reviews and innovative research articles are both welcome.
