Pharmacogenomics and AI-Enabled Personalized Therapeutics: Advancing Predictive and Precision Medicine
Submission Abstract:
Advances in pharmacogenomics, multi-omics technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI) are redefining personalized medicine and therapeutic decision-making. Variability in drug response, adverse drug reactions, and treatment resistance remain major challenges in clinical practice, underscoring the need for genomics-driven precision approaches.
This special issue aims to explore emerging developments in pharmacogenomics and personalized therapeutics that integrate genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic data with AI-driven predictive modeling. The issue will highlight innovative approaches for biomarker identification, drug-response prediction, dose optimization, and individualized treatment strategies across complex and chronic diseases.
Particular emphasis will be placed on translational research that bridges molecular insights with clinical implementation, including population pharmacogenomics, gene–drug interactions, pharmacovigilance, and computational drug repurposing. Contributions addressing ethical, regulatory, and implementation challenges in precision prescribing will also be encouraged.
Aligned with the global shift toward predictive and personalized healthcare systems, this special issue seeks to advance scalable, data-driven strategies that enhance therapeutic efficacy, safety, and clinical outcomes. It aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform connecting molecular medicine, clinical pharmacology, bioinformatics, and digital health innovations.
