Submission Abstract:

This thematic issue aims to highlight recent advances in deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying the disease immune microenvironment, with a particular focus on cancer and chronic inflammatory conditions. It will bring together cutting-edge research in immune regulation, biomarker discovery, epigenetic remodeling, and post-translational modifications that influence disease progression and therapeutic response. The issue will also explore how single-cell and spatial transcriptomics technologies uncover cellular heterogeneity and immune dynamics at high resolution. In addition, it will feature translational strategies including nanomedicine-based delivery systems and natural product-derived compounds that modulate immune pathways or reverse resistance.
